At the Isleworth & Syon Awards evening, six committed and motivated Year 13 leavers collected their ‘Level 3 Award in Higher Sports Leadership’
Congratulations to Farooq Sabri, Omar Sabri, Sandeep Unwith, Yazad Cooper, Mustafa Franka and Thomas Johnston. To achieve this award each student volunteered a minimum of thirty hours within the community, working with a range of groups including children, older people and people with disabilities. This is the first time Isleworth & Syon has delivered the award and these are the first cohort of students to achieve their Level 3 Higher Sport Leader award in any Secondary school in Hounslow.
“Isleworth & Syon School has worked hard at promoting leadership, both within school and across our local community. We have created a clear pathway in which our students can progress from Young Leaders (Year 8), Sports leaders (Year 10), Community Sport leaders (Year 12) and Higher Sport Leaders (Year 13)
These inspirational students have been the best sport leaders we have ever had.
They have championed sport within the local community by supporting Primary School inter-School competition through running after school clubs, organising a girl’s 6-a-side football tournament, athletics coaching and officiating and assisting at the London Youth Games to name just a few .”
