On behalf of Sport Impact Hounslow I am asking as many schools as possible to get involved in BIG DANCE 2010!
'The T-Mobile Big Dance 2010 is a biennial pan-London celebration of dance and dancing with 9 days of dance events in unusual places throughout the city - shops, parks, galleries and museums - showcasing the diversity of dance styles and cultural attractions from 3 - 11 July.
Everyone is invited to join in. The aim is to encourage people to 'get into dance, increase fitness levels and generate a legacy of dance for all..................'
Please go to www.bigdance2010.com for more information and click on the link for teachers/schools. We would like you to register your school. (If you change your mind afterwards and do not want to be a part of it then no problem but do register now before it's too late). Please estimate numbers at this stage - I have checked and it is ok to do this.
Big Dance 2010 invites everyone to do 20 minutes of extra dance or physical activity each day in Big Dance week and to participate in a Guinness World Record attempt at 1pm on Friday 9 July.
A special dance has been commissioned and is available on the web site to watch and download. There are different versions of the dance, so anyone can take part – no matter what your age or ability.
We are asking all schools to learn the dance and to perform it at 1pm on Friday, 9 July and help us break a world record! You could involve your leaders in teaching the dance to other students.
Please get in touch with me if you are interested but would like some help with setting up activities.
