From the 15-19th March 2010 West Thames College staff and students supported Sport Relief raising a fantastic amount of £201.45.
Throughout the week, staff in student services provided a range of activities every lunch time from 12.30-2pm, including a 5 a side football tournament, table tennis rally competition, hula hoop challenge, the ‘Go the Distance’ run, row and cycle gym challenge, bean bag target zone as well as cake/biscuit sales and sweepstakes.
The ‘Go the Distance’ Gym Challenge was a massive success, with students and staff collectively rowing, cycling, and running a total 126 miles! Achieving over the target of 122 miles: the distance from West Thames College to the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff! Congratulations to all those staff and students who contributed their sweat and tears in achieving this fantastic target. Congratulations to Daniel and Joe who won the Table Tennis Rally Challenge with an impressive time of 14 minutes 43 seconds. Congratulations also go to Dylan who was crowned Hula Hoop Challenge Champion with a very tremendous time of 16.9 seconds.
Well done to everyone who participated in the weeks events helping to raise funds for Sport Relief. Thank you.
