I-Sports Day @ Southall Sports Centre

On Friday 11th December, 10 students from West Thames College attended the I-Sports Day held at Southall Sports Centre. This inclusive and inspirational event hosted by Extreme Ability, Active Ealing and Brentford FCCST, invited disabled people to try sportshall adapted athletics including track and field events, short tennis, badminton and table tennis.

Ben Rushgrove, 100meter silver medalist at Paraolympic games in Beijing 2008 was a special guest at the event. Students had to opportunity to speak to Ben about sport and his experiences as a GB athlete competing in the Paraolympic games.
