Borough X Country

On the 26th November 2009 Hounslow Secondary schools faced the blustery weather to take on the marshy terrain around Grasshoppers RFC in the Borough X-County Event.

11 schools took part with around 20 runners each in the following races; Yr 7 boys and girls, U15’s boys and girls and U17 boys and girls. There were some fantastic performances in all races particularly by Gumley girls who dominated the U15’s girls race. St Marks and Lampton were strong contenders in the Boys races which were actually won by Isleworth and Syon in the Yr 7’s and U17’s. (Please see other documents for full results).

Thankfully the rain held off until the end allowing for a cheerful environment to be had by all. I would like to give special mention to the CSLA’s and Leaders who helped set up and marshal the event and to the SSCO’s who managed the races, particularly James Lawson for collating the results.
