An astonishing 65 Year 7 girls competed in the first QuadKids event of the Hounslow Schools' track and field season yesterday at Osterley Sports and Athletics Centre.
Representatives from seven schools across the borough competed in the event where all athletes take part in a 100m sprint, long jump, vortex throw and finally in the individual events, an 800m run. The competition closed with 4 x 100m relays which were quick!
Athletes earn points in each event relative to their performance. Congratulations to the top three individually ranked girls:
1st: BETH SHEEHAN CHISWICK SCHOOL (188 pts)
2nd: EMILY MAGIL GUMLEY HOUSE CONVENT SCHOOL (187 pts)
3rd: EMILY KEAREY THE HEATHLAND SCHOOL (173 pts)
The overall results were:
1st: GUMLEY HOUSE CONVENT SCHOOL (760 pts)
2nd: CHISWICK SCHOOL (708 pts)
3rd: THE HEATHLAND SCHOOL (676 pts)
4th: GUMLEY HOUSE CONVENT SCHOOL 2 (601 pts)
5th: ST. MARK'S CATHOLIC SCHOOL (558 pts)
6th: RIVERS ACADEMY WEST LONDON (485 pts)
7th: CRANFORD COMMUNITY COLLEGE (454 pts)
8th: FELTHAM COMMUNITY COLLEGE (430 pts)
