Year 8 &9s Super 8 at Osterley
The first track and field competition of the season took place for Hounslow secondary schools yesterday. Year 8 & 9 boys and girls from five secondary schools competed in a Super 8 competition.
Super 8 competitions are a short competitions where every athlete competes in one individual track and one field event, plus a relay. Athletes earn points for their team depending on how good their performance is. The team with the most points wins!
Athletes from Chiswick School, Gunnersbury Catholic School, The Heathland School, Isleworth & Syon School and Rivers Academy West London competed in the Super 8.
There were some performances of very high quality on display and it was an exciting start to the season for the teams. The overall results were:
Boys:
1st: Chiswick
2nd: Gunnersbury
3rd: Isleworth & Syon
4th: Rivers Academy
5th: Heathlands
Girls:
1st: Rivers Academy
2nd: Heathlands
