Feltham and Isleworth Partnerships achieve Partnership Mark
Released: 1st January 2009 at 21:00 PM
Recent announcements have been made by the DCSF on the achievement by schools and Partnerships achieving the physical activity quality standard. Schools across Hounslow performed well with all but one primary school achieving Activemark, and an increase in the number of secondary schools achieving Sports Mark. The main achievement that schools have to achieve is that 90% of all students participate in 2 hours or more of physical activity / PE.
With the success of the schools in achieving success the Partnerships were awarded Partnership Mark again with the award being for 90% of all students across the partnerships achieving the 2 hour minimum standard. It is fantastic to announce that both partnerships have been awarded this standard and it is testament to the work that the SSPs have done together that have provided more opportunities for children to be engaged and active in and out of school.
The next target for the Partnership in 2010 is that all schools 100% of pupils are achieving the 2 hour standard - with this moving towards achievement of the 5 hours offer by 2012.
