Schools from Isleworth and Brentford took part in the Year 5/6 High 5 Netball Preliminary Round held at the Green School on Tuesday 28th February 2012. On a sunny afternoon, four schools played each other in a round robin format. As the competition progressed participants gained a greater understanding of the game and displayed plenty of determination and sportsmanship. In tightly contested and low scoring games the Blue school edge out St. Mary’s, Isleworth to top spot by scoring one more point. Both teams had recorded two wins and a draw. Our lady & St John and Isleworth Town gained two draws each and finished third and fourth respectively. The top two teams, the Blue School and St. Mary’s, Isleworth qualify for the borough finals on Tuesday 28th February. Congratulations to all players involved who contributed to an enjoyable competition. Thank you also to teachers and parents supporting their teams and the expertise of Mrs Bacon and Nina in umpiring and supporting the competition and the Green School for hosting.
