Are you feeling inspired by 2012 and want to get involved with athletics in Hounslow? Over the next three weeks there are ‘Feeling Inspired?’ evenings where you can visit Osterley Sports and Athletics Centre to find out what opportunities currently exist in Hounslow, ways to get involved and how to potentially get new activities started!
The evenings are on Wednesday 30th November, Thursday 8th December and Tuesday 13th December in the foyer of Osterley Sports and Athletics Centre; drop by any time from 6.00 – 8.00pm.
Whatever your level of interest or knowledge of the sport, you can help to make a difference to the way athletics continues to develop at the athletics track and in the borough of Hounslow. You may have a general interest or a specific interest in an area such as coaching or officiating where you’ll be directed to local courses and funding.
YOU can make a difference to athletics in Hounslow. Mo Farah, one of Great Britain's current successful athletes and an Olympic hopeful for a gold medal is from Hounslow. He joined Feltham Community College as a young boy before moving to Isleworth & Syon School to finish his education. World class athletes CAN and HAVE come from the Borough of Hounslow.
